Setting a solid foundation
Values, vision and purpose play a huge role in the success of an organisation. They define what it stands for, set the tone for its culture, provide direction, inspire motivation, attract and retain talent – not a step to be missed.
Some organisations already have the solid foundations and they live and breathe their values every day, some need more help workshopping their vision so that it is concise and meaningful, others may have developed and changed, and need to revisit their purpose. People Business consultants are on hand to help you and your employees through the process wherever you are on this journey.
Values
Company values are the core beliefs and guiding principles that shape an organisation’s decisions, behaviours and interactions both internally and externally. They reflect what an organisation stands for and can be powerful motivators. As you grow and mature values may need to be reassessed. It’s important that they stay current and reflect the beliefs of your organisation.
Vision
An organisation’s vision concisely articulates where it wants to be – what its long-term goal is. It should be a source of inspiration and direction for everyone involved in the organisation.
Purpose
The purpose, or mission, of an organisation answers the question, why? It is the reason for pursuing the vision in the first place and clarifies what the organisation is trying to achieve.
